Wonderful Winter Elopements: Meet me by the fire....

The last week in Sydney has seen weather of epic proportions.   Torrential rain has drenched us and we for one are delighted!  After a season of catastrophic fires across New South Wales, the rain was a welcome visitor, replenishing nine months of drought in just one week.

Luckily we didn’t have any elopements scheduled over the rainy weekend, so we could fully enjoy the downpour knowing it wouldn’t be a disappointment for any of our lovely couples.  But it did get us thinking about just how romantic the cooler weather is for elopements.  There is something about the fresh crisp air, the beautiful early sunsets and the grey cloud backdrops tin winter that make the day  feel so romantic, but it also translates into beautiful photographs.

One of our most favourite spots for a winter elopement getaway is The Blue Mountains.   The Blue Mountains have long been a favourite for a romantic mini break among Sydney siders, and it is not hard to see why.  There is something inherently magical about The Blue Mountains, its picturesque backdrop, the villages of a by-gone era, and the warm inviting nature of the locals.

What could be a better place for a romantic winter elopement you ask?  Well, picture all of this, but include accomodation and a dining experience at the most stylish, five star resort in The Blue Mountains.   Its hard to describe just how wonderful our partnered venue, Spicers Sangoma Retreat, really is.  It is truly one of the most romantic settings you could imagine.  Secluded, luxury hotel rooms in the breathtaking surrounds of the Blue Mountains.   It is one fo those venues that takes your breath away, whilst at the same time makes you feel instantly relaxed.   If a luxury escape in the most stunning surroundings sounds like your perfect way to say I do, we got you : )
